Dr. Fernando Zapata was the Ted DeLaney Postdoctoral Fellow in Philosophy at Washington and Lee University before joining the Morgan State department. He earned his doctorate from the graduate program in social, political, ethical, and legal philosophy (SPEL) at SUNY Binghamton. He has taught philosophy courses at Hunter College and other schools within the City University of New York. His research has covered American Philosophy, particularly the work of John Dewey, and he currently focuses on social and political philosophy and philosophical questions of political economy.
