Education:

MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) - Temple University

BA in Spanish and French with an English minor - The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.

Johnson obtained her MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) from Temple University and received her BA in Spanish and French with an English minor from The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. Her major field of study at Morgan is British & American Literature & Theory, with a  minor focus in Multicultural & Gender Studies. Her research interests are centered around 20th Century & Contemporary African American Literature and Poetics with a focus on Women writers and poets. Some themes that interest her include the Black female body, Documentary Poetics, Resistance movements, Feminism, and race & identity.
