Celebrating Dr. Nnemkadi Akinwale’s Successful Dissertation Defense!

Dr. Nnemkadi Akinwale successfully defended her dissertation on March 3, exploring how comprehensive sex education (CSE) impacts young Black women’s birthing experiences in hospitals within abstinence-based states. Her research highlights systemic barriers in Black maternal health and proposes an education-based framework to better equip women for childbirth and advocacy. Congratulations, Dr. Akinwale, on this important contribution to maternal healthcare equity!
