BACHELOR’S PROGRAMS

Eight new interdisciplinary bachelor's degrees are offered through the College of Interdisciplinary & Continuing Studies.

  5. B.S. in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies
  6. B.S. in Interdisciplinary Technology Services
  7. B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies in Societal Equity, and Urbanism
  8. B.S. in Interdisciplinary Global Perspectives and Practices

Minimum Admission Criteria

Students must transfer a minimum of 60 credits of completed coursework to be accepted to the Morgan Completes You programs. Students may transfer in up to 90 credits from regionally accredited colleges or universities. Also, applicants must have a minimum combined GPA of 2.25 for courses transferred.

Program Requirements

General Education Courses - 42 credits

Major:

  • Lower Level courses in your subject area*  - 24 credits
  • Upper Level courses in your subject area* - 24 credits
  • Professional Field Experience Course - 18 credits - this is credit for your work experience, but there is a class you must take to earn the credits
  • Capstone - 12 credits

MASTER’S PROGRAMS

Five new interdisciplinary master's degrees are offered through the College of Interdisciplinary & Continuing Studies.

Five Master's degree programs are offered.

  1. M.S. in Interdisciplinary Health and Human Sciences
  2. M.S. in Interdisciplinary Sciences
  3. M.S. in Interdisciplinary Engineering, Information, and Computational Sciences
  4. M.S. in Interdisciplinary Journalism and Mass Communication
  5. M.S. in Interdisciplinary Organizational Policy, Governance, and Administration

Minimum Admission Criteria

Students must have successfully completed a bachelor's level degree and transfer a minimum of 15 credits of completed graduate level coursework to be accepted to the proposed master’s programs. Also, applicants must have a minimum combined GPA of 3.0 for graduate courses transferred.

Curriculum Structure for M.S. Academic Degree Programs

12 credits Elective Course Work Graduate-level courses Transfer up to 12 credits
12 credits CICS 680 Professional Field Experience Transfer up to 18 credits based on prior work or research experience
6 credits CICS 690 Integrated Capstone Required for all.
30 credits Total

DOCTORAL PROGRAMS

Five new interdisciplinary doctoral degrees are offered through the College of Interdisciplinary & Continuing Studies.

Five doctoral degree programs are offered.

  2. Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Sciences
  3. Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering, Information, and Computational Sciences
  4. Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Journalism and Mass Communication
  5. Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Organizational Policy, Governance, and Administration

Completion of the Ph.D. program requires a student to have an MS degree and complete an additional 36 credit hours beyond the MS degree.

Minimum Admission Criteria

Students with an MS Degree must transfer or earn a minimum of 18 credits of previous coursework and experience to be accepted to the proposed doctoral programs. Also, applicants must have a minimum combined GPA of 3.0 for graduate courses transferred.

The general structure of the Doctoral Academic Degree Programs follows the student credit hour model shown in the table below. Thirty-six (36) credit hours, total, are required for completion of the doctoral degree programs for all students who hold MS degrees.
