This year’s Academic Excellence and Graduation Celebration will feature inspiring words from two remarkable student speakers whose stories reflect the heart of CICS.

Kelly Venable, graduating with a degree in Interdisciplinary Organizational Administration, shares a message that resonates with so many adult learners. In her own words:
"The journey will not look the same for each student… It can be a curve, a dotted line, or even zig-zag lines. Our professors saw our potential before we saw it in ourselves, and our advisors gave us the tools to turn those zig-zags into momentum. This program gave us the equation to make it work."

Angel Rodriguez, graduating with a degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering, Information, and Computational Sciences, delivers a powerful call to action:
"Education is not a terminal state, it is a lifelong condition... Let us remain committed to being lifelong learners, passionate advocates, and agents of positive change. Remember, monumental change often starts with small acts… we are that movement."
