Dr. Joonwoo Moon is an assistant professor in the Department of Strategic Communication at Morgan State University. His research focuses on the intersections of transnationalism, digital technology, and strategic communication: How do we use emerging communication technologies to promote positive health and social changes globally? He is also interested in health disparities in the United States, especially for African Americans.
Before joining SCOM, he was a marketing communication specialist for three years in South Korea. He also has more than four years of university teaching experience as well as professional experience in the fields of global startup education, leadership coaching, and educational curriculum development.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Arts at Hong Ik University in South Korea, where he majored in advertising and public relations. He holds a doctorate of communications from George Mason University.
