Paying for Online Career Training Courses

Financial assistance is available to help you defray some or all of the cost of your career training programs. Details and eligibility requirements are listed or linked below.

Central Scholarship

Central Scholarship offers need-based funding for Maryland residents pursuing non-degree certificate training at Morgan State University. To apply, click here or call 410-415-5558 for more information.

Private Education Loan

This financing option is ideal for students who would like to pay for their program over a longer period of time. The maximum amount that may be borrowed on this interest-bearing loan is $3300 and must be paid off within 12 months (annual maximum is $6600). The standard interest rate for the loan ranges between 9% and 12%. The down payment ranges from just $1 to $199. Interest rates and down payments vary by program and are based on FICO score.†  To apply, click here.

Military Tuition Assistance

The Armed Forces offer eligible military members, their dependents, and veterans several program benefit options to support their career training goals.

Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA)

Spouses of Active duty military members around the world are able to enjoy a $4,000 career education benefit funded through the Department of Defense. There are a variety of training options available and we offer programs in all of the approved fields! You qualify for MyCAA funding if:

  • You are the current spouse of an active duty service member with Army, Air Force, Marine, Navy, National Guard, or Active Guard Reserve.
  • Your spouse is in the E1-E5, O1-O2, or W1-W2 pay grades.
  • Your spouse is a National Guard and/or Active Guard Reserve member on federal Title 10 active duty orders.

The Air Force Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (AF COOL) Program

The Air Force Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (AF COOL) program is a pathway to earning industry-recognized certiļ¬cations and licenses.  AF COOL matches enlisted Airmen to credentials and licensures based on their primary AFSC, so they can enhance their active duty work and prepare to transition into the civilian job market. Participants are eligible to receive a Lifetime Cap Allowance of $4,500.00.
