Commuter Student Parking Information for 2023-2024

Lot Y—Lower Level Murphy Fine Arts

Lot QN—School of Business & Management

Lot QN is currently closed due to construction. It is scheduled to reopen mid-September, 2023.

Commons Garage—University Student Center

North Campus Garage—Center for Built Environment & Infrastructure Studies (CBEIS)

  • Valid 9/1/2023-8/31/2024.
  • No cost to apply.
  • Must be registered for classes.
  • Parking locations are available from 7:00 AM—11:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Use BEARcard to enter/ exit Garages.
  • Beginning at 4:15 PM-11:30 PM, Monday –Friday, parking is allowed on the surface parking lots. Use BEARcard to enter/ exit gated parking lots after 4:15 PM.
  • On Saturday and Sunday, permits are valid on any surface parking lot from 7:00 AM-11:30 PM. Use BEARcard to enter/ exit gated parking lots on weekends.
  • Commuter parking not valid during special events.
  • Overnight parking in lots and garages is prohibited.
  • Commuter Student parking IS NOT VALID in reserved spaces, handicap spaces, Northwood Commons Shopping Center, Morgan View Apartments, roadways labeled as NO PARKING, alongside red or yellow painted curbs or any parking lot outside of the designated lot locations listed above. 

The University will be implementing License Plate Recognition (LPR) to enforce parking on campus, so parking permit hang tags will no longer be issued. You may now log into your customer portal to update your contact information, vehicle information and register for parking. You will need your university login credentials (username and password) to access your account. You will also need your current vehicle information details. Commuter Student Disability Parking

If you need to register for a Commuter Student disability parking permit, please press HERE to submit a copy of your MVA issued Disability Parking Certification card along with your driver’s license and vehicle registration. Please note that disability parking permits allow access to all surface parking lots and garages.
