Paityn-Amor Brooks, a New York City native, is a rising senior pursuing a BS in Chemistry at Morgan State University. Paityn currently maintains a 3.6 GPA and is set to graduate in December 2024. She is passionate about making an impact in the field of medicine through her studies in neurology. Her experience includes a research internship at John Hopkins University/HBCU Pathways Program, focusing on women's health.

Her outstanding achievements earned her several scholarships, including the NIH Grant A.A. Willis Endowed, and Grand Council of Guardians Scholarships, along with Columbia S-PREP Math and Science Awards.

Notably in honor of her late brother, she founded the Dijon Q. Brooks Foundation with a goal of raising awareness about epilepsy and supporting those impacted by the disorder. Furthermore, Paityn-Amor is an ASCEND scholar, which allows her to conduct research of her choice that is funded by the NIH. She actively attends and presents at research conferences while preparing for graduate school.

Paityn-Amor now serves as the Student Regent for the 2023-2024 academic school year on the Morgan State University Board of Regents. This leadership role showcases her commitment to representing the student body and contributing to the university community.

Paityn-Amor realizes the importance of excelling in both academics and community service. She actively volunteers to support various causes. She mentors young African American girls through the National Council of Negro Women and fosters leadership as a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.

In the arts, she's involved in Project Performing Arts, training students and choreographing dances. She is also a member of the Morgan State University Dance Ensemble. She serves as the President of Love Yours, a student organization on campus that promotes self-love and entrepreneurship.

Paityn-Amor Brooks is a promising, well rounded and driven student who’s focus on research, academic excellence, community involvement, and her role as a Student Regent, will undoubtedly create a positive impact in not only the medical field but society as a whole.
