Core Lab Equipment

The Technical Staff maintains and manages equipment in good working order using manufacturer suggested QA/QC specifications, develops and uses SOPs (as living documents) for each instrument and technique, and maintains user schedules.

In addition, they will train faculty, staff, and students in proper use as per Core Laboratory SOPs, and will issue documentation and validation of said training. They will advise on proper specimen preparation for optimal results, perform assays for faculty who have limited time for experiments due to heavy teaching schedules, and coordinate instrument schedules to minimize waste of reagents and kits.
