Dr. Shiva Mehravaran joined ASCEND at Morgan State University in 2017. She was previously the lead researcher at the Center for Community Outreach and Policy, University of California, Los Angeles, and the Noor Research and Development Center in Tehran, Iran, where she continues to mentor young talent and student researchers. She is a dedicated scientific researcher with over 15 years of experience in the design and implementation of various types of research studies. She has published over 60 peer-reviewed health-related articles and has served as editor and peer reviewer for scientific journals.
