Olisa Menakaya Bio
Award-winning science teacher Olisa Menakaya is a dedicated educator and scientist with a strong commitment to advancing science education. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Tennessee State University and a Master's in Education specializing in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Maryland, Olisa is in pursuit of a doctorate, specializing in Science Education at Morgan State University. Throughout his extensive teaching career, Olisa has covered a diverse array of subjects, utilizing innovative tools to enhance learning experiences. His leadership roles and involvement in academic organizations, coupled with accolades such as the Naomi Hentz Scholarship and the American Chemical Society Student Leadership Award, underscore his commitment to the field. Olisa plans to engage in impactful research on climate science and environmental education, and continue to focus on his unwavering dedication to advancing scientific knowledge and education for the benefit of the present and future generations.
