Next Steps for Admitted Freshman

Congratulations on your acceptance to Morgan State University! We believe that you will be an excellent addition to the Morgan family and we are excited to welcome you to campus.

Follow this checklist to complete the enrollment process:

Step One: Change your initial password and access your student account

Your University email address and student ID number can be found in your acceptance letter. The username is the first part of your email. Do not include "@morgan.edu". 

Step Two: Register for Bear Necessities New Student Orientation

Freshman Orientation is a MANDATORY program for all incoming students admitted for the spring and fall semesters. Please note that participation in summer orientation for Fall includes a non-refundable orientation fee. (Registration will open soon)

Step Three: Complete the university managed housing application

Student housing and residence life information can be found on The Office of Residence Life and Housing website. Housing assignments are first come, first served and the application fee is non-refundable. (Spring 2026 application will open on October 15th)

Step Four: Complete and submit required health forms

Please return completed health forms to the University Health Center.

Step Five: Check your financial aid award status
