The following groups are a part of Christian ministry at the Chapel and perform during Sunday worship service:

The LINK Initiative

Safe Spaces Curated for Human Connection

The LINK Initiative is a dialogue-based program developed by the Morgan State University Memorial Chapel to cultivate meaningful conversations across differences in identity, belief, culture, and lived experience. At a time when polarization increasingly shapes public discourse, LINK creates intentional spaces where students learn to engage difficult topics with empathy, intellectual curiosity, and mutual respect.

Built around four guiding principles—Listen to Understand, Include Diverse Perspectives, Navigate Differences with Respect, and Kindle Connection and Empathy—the initiative equips students with the skills necessary to become bridge-builders, ethical leaders, and compassionate citizens both on campus and beyond.

Rather than seeking consensus, LINK encourages participants to practice civil dialogue, critically examine their own perspectives, and appreciate the humanity of those with whom they disagree and/or differ from.

Friends of the Chapel

The Friends of the Chapel serve as a type of advisory board for Chapel operations. Their function varies from offering programming ideas to philanthropic endeavors. The group consists of Morgan alumni, staff, faculty, and community members. The group serves as an integral part in helping the Chapel maintain connections with alumni and the broader Morgan community. Our current members are:
