Teacher Education Track

Specialization in Teacher Education and Science

  • Acquire and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75
  • Evidence of passing Praxis I Core (Reading, Writing, Math) or 3.0 GPA
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • Goal Statement (essay)
  • Disposition Survey

Praxis

Elementary majors and Secondary Education candidates are REQUIRED to pass Praxis I tests (Reading, Writing & Mathematics) in order to enroll in methods courses

Elementary Education majors and Secondary Education candidates are REQUIRED to pass Praxis II assessments as a graduation requirement

Internship

  • Secondary Education candidates are required to complete a clinical experience through PDS
  • 100 consecutive days of student teaching practicum
