Report Hazing

Hazing Reporting Procedures

The welfare and safety of all individuals within the campus community constitute the University's highest priority. It is the responsibility of all Morgan State University students, faculty, staff, and community members to report hazing incidents. 

Reports  may be made through any of the following:

  • Online Reporting Form: Incident Report Form
  • Email: studentrights@morgan.edu
  • Campus Police: 443-885-3103 
  • Local Law Enforcement: Call 911 in emergencies

If you are not prepared to submit an official report, assistance from the following offices is available.

What Happens After You Report 

  • The Report is submitted to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities (OSRR) 
  • The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities (OSRR) will promptly review reports of hazing in accordance with the Code of Student Conduct. If an investigation is initiated, it will be conducted in a timely and equitable manner. Depending on the nature of the incident, the investigation may include additional departments or persons.
  • If reported to the MSUPD, the case is likely to be criminally investigated. MSUPD can assist hazing victims when appropriate in notifying other law enforcement. 

Disciplinary Sanctions 

A student, student organization, or group that is determined to have violated the University's Hazing Policy is subject to sanctions outlined in the University Code of Student Conduct, which may include, but are not limited to:

  • For individual students: suspension or expulsion
  • For organizations or groups: Loss of recognition or suspension of privileges

Violations of laws may also lead to criminal charges.

Findings involving organizations will be reported in the Campus Hazing Transparency Report as required by federal law.
