Hazing Policy
The Hazing Policy
Morgan State University prohibits hazing in all forms and is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. This policy is established in accordance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act of 2024 (Public Law 118-1, amending 20 U.S.C. § 1092(f)), Maryland Criminal Law § 3-607, and the Code of Student Conduct. It applies to all students, student organizations, and student groups, whether formally recognized or not.
University Response Procedures
Hazing may result in disciplinary action by the University. In addition to legal consequences, hazing violations may lead to sanctions up to and including suspension or expulsion of individuals and/or student organizations.
We take hazing seriously. If you or someone you know has experienced hazing, we encourage you to report it. The University will assist any individual who wishes to report hazing to the police, and all good-faith reports are protected from retaliation.
