Lening Alexis Olivera-Figueroa, Psy.D., ABPP, is a board-certified, clinical psychologist, licensed in California, Connecticut, and Puerto Rico. Dr. Olivera-Figueroa completed his doctorate in clinical psychology at Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico, his pre-doctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health, and his five post-doctoral fellowships at McGill University, University of Montreal, Yale University, the Veteran Affairs-Connecticut Healthcare System, and the Syracuse Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The described training experiences led Dr. Olivera-Figueroa to work as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Psychological Health (PH) Promotion and Behavior Change for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)-Defense Centers of Excellence (DCoE) for Psychological Health (PH) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Similarly, the described training experiences also led Dr. Olivera- Figueroa to attain faculty appointments at the Yale University School of Medicine-Department of Psychiatry, Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, AltaMed’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Los Angeles, California, and now the Morgan State University-Department of Psychology in Baltimore, Maryland.
