Applying as a Transfer
Morgan State University welcomes students who would like to transfer from a regionally accredited community college or four-year college or university. Please read all of the information listed below before completing your transfer application. If you completed all of your college courses while enrolled in high school you should apply as a freshman with college credits.
To apply, please submit:
- Online application
- Official college transcript from each college attended. Your application can not be reviewed until all transcripts have been received.
How to submit
- Must be sent electronically directly from the college or via Parchment, eScript-Safe, National Student Clearing House, Strighterline, or ScribOrder
- All electronic third party transcript services may send transcript notifications to apply@morgan.edu. Transcripts sent to any other email address will not be considered
- On-site admission events
- Transcripts will not be accepted as official if sent via fax
- Official high school transcript with a graduation date (If you have earned less than 24 college credits)
- How to submit
- By email directly from your high school to apply@morgan.edu
- Accepted digital formats: Naviance and Parchment

- Official SAT or ACT scores (If you have earned less than 12 college credits)
- How to submit (test-optional)
- SAT scores must be sent directly from College Board - College Board code is 5416
- ACT scores must be sent directly from ACT.org - ACT code is 1722
- On-site admission events
- Scores may be accepted if included on an official high school transcript
- Official test scores will not be accepted via fax

- To receive an unofficial indication of how courses from other colleges will be accepted for transfer credit at Morgan State University, please visit our Transfer Evaluation System (TES).
Notes:
- To be eligible for admission you must be in good standing at the last institution you have attended.
- If admitted to Morgan as a degree seeking student you must earn the last 30 credit hours toward your desired degree at Morgan State.
- Developmental and/or remedial classes are not transferable.
