SMART Dual Enrollment Program

The SMART Dual Enrollment Program is designed for high school students who want to take courses at Morgan for college credit. Students must be at a sophomore standing or higher in order to participate in the dual enrollment program.

Students in the program enroll in regular college-level courses at Morgan during the summer, fall or spring terms and attend class alongside other Morgan students. College credit is earned for any courses completed and will be posted to a Morgan State University transcript. Students will be advised on the specific courses that may be taken by their assigned academic advisor.

SMART Scholars who graduate high school with a minimum 2.5 GPA, earn 9 college credits toward a degree, have a minimum 980 SAT score (Critical Reading and Mathematics) or 19 ACT composite, complete the admission online application process and meet all non-academic requirements, will be guaranteed admission into Morgan State University as a degree-seeking student.

Tuition

Students participating in the SMART Dual Enrollment Program are responsible for paying standard tuition and fee rates. However, if the student is eligible for tuition and fees support from the state/school district, we will bill the appropriate state/school district for payment. Current rates are available here.
