Biography:

Dr. Farzad Moazzami received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering in 2003 from Azad University of Tabriz, Iran, and the M. Eng. and D. Eng degrees in 2009 and 2011 from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD, respectively. He is currently serving as an Associate professor in the INSS department. He served as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs between the years of 2017 and 2021. He is the founding Dean of the College of Interdisciplinary and Continuing Studies at the university where he served 2021-2022. Dr. Moazzami served as an assistant Professor in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Morgan State University from 2011 until 2017. Dr. Moazzami is currently directing research activities in the WiNetS lab at MSU, focusing on developing Cyber Defense controls such as NIDS and HIDS and signal processing algorithms for wireless communication applications. His research interests are Cyber Defense, Intrusion Detection Systems, Cryptography algorithms, and data analytics.
