Applying as a Continuing Student

Continuing (currently enrolled) students who meet the minimum qualifications will be eligible to apply to the Clara I. Adams Honors College. Applications will open May 15, 2026 through June 30, 2026.

The following Criteria will be used to determine your eligibility for the CIA-Honors College:

• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.6 and above
• Earn up to, but no more than sixty (60) college credit hours
• Exemplify the Pillars of the Honors College which include Academic Excellence, Experiential Advantage, and Impactful Service

Letters of Recommendation (Required): Students must submit a minimum of two (2) letters of recommendation as part of their Honors consideration.

At least one (1) recommendation should come from a faculty or academic representative within the student’s school or department. This may include a Professor, School Honors Coordinator, Department Chair, or School Dean. Students are encouraged to seek recommendations from individuals who can speak meaningfully to their academic engagement, leadership, work ethic, and readiness for the rigor of the Clara I. Adams Honors College.

Most schools and colleges at Morgan State University have a designated School Honors Coordinator who supports Honors initiatives and serves as a liaison for students within their academic unit.
