Security Awareness Training
Morgan State University's online Security Awareness Training program is conducted every October and is mandatory for all employees. All affected MSU users will be enrolled automatically for this training and will receive an email like the one shown below from our training partner at Media Pro (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please pay particular attention to the due date for completing the training.
The program, managed by the Division of Information Technology (DIT), is mandatory for all faculty, staff, contractors, volunteers, and student workers. The training consists of interactive activities, review and acceptance of MSU's Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources Policy (AUP), with a short assessment of knowledge gained.
The training is estimated to take about thirty (30) minutes and must be completed within thirty (30) days of enrollment. A score of at least eighty (80) percent on the assessment is required to be deemed as having passed this compliance training. A certificate of successful completion can be printed by the user and DIT will receive a notification to that effect as a confirmation of successful compliance.
If a user does not successfully complete the training within the allowed 30-day period, his/her Morgan account will be disabled until that condition is satisfied.
