The School of Community Health and Policy began offering its first online degree in the fall of 2018 and has plans to expand the number of online degree and certificate programs in the future. Online education offers flexibility for many to pursue their educational and career goals. The decision to seek additional education is not made lightly but one which requires making a determination about the expected return on investment. Investing time and money, means working adults are considering affordability, convenience, and future outcomes. SCHP plans include offering degree and certificate programs in areas where employment opportunities are currently strong or evidencing growth. The Online Master of Public Health (OMPH) is designed to meet the educational needs of working professionals interested in seeking a new career or advancing in health services careers through its concentration in Executive Health Management. The program recognizes and builds upon the extensive and diverse experiences of a student from health-related careers including medicine, nursing, dentistry, public health, pharmacy, laboratory sciences, insurance, environmental health, health education, health-related consulting, law, management, health services administration, psychology, and social work.

Online MPH Program of Study
All students who seek to earn the Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Executive Health Management are required to complete a total of 42 graduate credit hours inclusive of a capstone. The MPH curriculum consists of foundation courses in the core public health domains -- environmental health, quantitative analysis and methods, health planning, policy, and administration, as well as social and behavioral science. The 42 credits for Online MPH require the completion of 35 hours of coursework and 7 credit hours to complete a graduate capstone project. The accelerated curriculum plan takes less than 18 months to complete with three full semesters and one summer semester. Each fall/spring semester consists of courses offered in two consecutive eight-week terms; the summer semester is one eight-week session.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the minimum criteria listed below and submit a completed application inclusive of academic transcripts, resume, statement of interest, and sample work products.
• Have at least 3 years of prior work experience in a health-related profession
• Hold a prior academic/professional bachelor, master, or doctoral-level degree in a health-related field.
