Academic Advisor Assignments

Each first-time freshman at Morgan State University (MSU) is assigned an academic advisor from either the Center for Academic Success and Achievement (CASA) or the Office of Student Success and Retention (OSSR). This person will serve as your academic advisor for at least one year.

How Do I Find My Freshman Academic Advisor?

There are several ways to find the name and contact information for your freshman academic advisor. 

• Once the semester has begun you can log in to your Starfish account under the Banner/WebSIS page, then click "My Success Network" to find the name and contact information for your academic advisor.
• Send an email to fy_advising@morgan.edu

*Upperclassmen: Log in to your Starfish account under the Banner/WebSIS page, then click "My Success Network" to find the name and contact information for your academic advisor. You can also contact your major department to inquire about the name of your academic advisor.
