DASLP Celebrates Winter 2025 Graduates with Joy, Community, and Inspiration

The Department of Advanced Studies, Leadership and Policy (DASLP) proudly celebrated the achievements of its Winter 2025 graduates, honoring the dedication, leadership, and resilience of 10 new doctoral graduates and 7 master’s graduates.

The celebration began the evening before commencement, as faculty, graduates, and their families gathered in the historic Banneker Room for an intimate departmental gathering. The event was filled with joy, hugs, laughter, and deep gratitude—an opportunity to honor not just individual achievements, but the communities and support systems that made them possible.

At Morgan State University’s Winter Commencement, held the following day, graduates were further inspired by keynote speaker U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock, who encouraged them to commit to a purpose greater than themselves. “Work towards a goal that is bigger than you can accomplish in your lifetime,” he urged, reminding the Class of 2025 of their power, their promise, and their responsibility to lead.

We are incredibly proud of our newest DASLP alumni and look forward to seeing how they will continue to advance equity, leadership, and justice in their communities and professions. Congratulations to the Winter 2025 graduates!
