Office of Summer Session, Winter Session & Special Programs

Morgan State University is the premier source for individuals seeking academic and personal enrichment courses year round. The Office of Summer Sessions, Winter Session, and Special Programs, an office within the Division of Academic Affairs, is committed to providing superior customer service while offering alternative options for students to meet their degree requirements.

The Summer and Winter Sessions provides students from Morgan and other colleges and universities additional opportunities to earn credits outside of the traditional school year. Morgan currently offers daytime and evening courses during the Summer Sessions and the intensive three-week Winter Session. The credits received during the sessions are equivalent to credits earned during the traditional semesters.

Morgan also provides matriculating Juniors and Seniors with the opportunity to pursue courses through Independent Study. Click here to learn additional information, the requirements and process to petition for Independent Study.

Our special programs allow students to collaborate with working professionals and conveniently work towards earning their degree. The Office of Summer, Winter Session and Special Programs supports the University's primary focus on research and instruction by providing flexible and alternative ways for students to complete their coursework. Join us and engage in our global community of students and embark on a learning experience that makes a true and lasting impact!
