Education: B.A. in Spanish from the Pennsylvania State University M.A. in Intercultural Communication from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Additionally, Prof. Lewis did graduate work in Spanish and Latin American Literature through New York University in Madrid, Spain.

Teaching and Research Interests
Most of his research has centered around the Colombian novelist Jorge Isaacs and his romantic novel "María". Prof. Lewis spent several years living in Colombia where he taught English as a Second Language at several public and private universities.
