Mirranda Williams: Empowering Communities: Redefining Disability as Strength and Inspiration
Mirranda Williams, a graduate of Morgan State University and a member of the Phi Alpha – Kappa Zeta Chapter, achieved academic excellence by earning her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from the university with summa cum laude honors. She has founded InspEYEre Consulting, a dedicated platform providing resources and support groups for mental health issues among seniors living with blindness. Ms. Williams’ mission is to change society's perception of individuals with disabilities, particularly focusing on empowering individuals and seniors who are blind to maintain independence and challenge the notion of helplessness. Through professional development training, she fosters empathy and dispels misconceptions. Her inspirational journey exemplifies the resilience of the human spirit, highlighting that disabilities do not limit one's potential, and she envisions a more inclusive world for all. Read more
