If you are seeking to start an official Morgan State University-affiliated social media account, there are several mandatory steps that must be taken before beginning. Please note that official social media accounts are those authorized to speak on behalf of a school, department, organization or other official entity at the university.
Prior to creating and/or managing an official MSU-affiliated social media account, you must first participate in a consultation with the University's Social Media Specialist in the Office of Public Relations and Strategic Communications (OPRSC). During this consultation, the Social Media Specialist will discuss the procedures for starting a social media account, in addition to strategy, goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), messaging and best practices before account activation.
Please note, officially recognized MSU-affiliated social media accounts must be reviewed and approved by OPRSC and are the sole property of Morgan State University.
