Dr. Christopher Amissah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Morgan State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Psychometrics from Morgan State University and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Amissah’s research focuses on applying modern psychometric methods to the study of social capital and community mental health. As a trained psychometrician, he utilizes a range of advanced statistical techniques — including item response theory, Rasch models, classical test theory, program evaluation, multilevel analysis, and other quantitative approaches — to develop and validate measurement instruments, assess psychological constructs, and examine patterns in community mental health and social behavior.

In addition, Dr. Amissah is committed to advancing the accuracy and contextual relevance of health-related measurement, with an emphasis on uncovering psychosocial factors that contribute to improved health outcomes.
