Overview

WHY A MAJOR IN POLITICAL SCIENCE AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS?

Now is the time to study Political Science!  A degree in Political Science and International Affairs will allow you to acquire a deep understanding of the institutions and practice of government and politics at the local, state, national and international levels. You will learn how countries work together to address and fix international challenges.   Political Science students develop critical thinking skills, improve their writing and communication skills, and develop tools for analyzing information and data.  These are marketable skills that will make you competitive in the workplace. 

Participating in the Zeta Psi Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society shows that you are an excellent student who has the distinction of being inducted into this prestigious organization.

Upon graduation, you will be equipped to pursue careers in local, state, and federal government, non-governmental and public interest organizations, community service organizations, embassies, international organizations, consulting, and political communication.  You may also continue your education by pursuing graduate studies in public administration, political science, and law.
