Given the recent surges in positive COVID cases, the prevalence of new variants and an uptick in hospitalizations, we recognize that our collective success aligns with our capacity to limit the spread of the virus and safeguard our community as best we can.

He’s Bringing Baltimore Youths to the Wrestling Mats as a Way to Thrive

Morgan State dropped wrestling after the 1996-1997 season, one in a long line of colleges to shutter their Division I wrestling programs in the past three decades over financial concerns. Today, not one HBCU has a Division I program. In October, however, Morgan announced plans to resurrect its program thanks to a donation that will help provide annual funding and scholarships.

Morgan Alum Tapped For Federal Post

Larry D. Turner was sworn in as the inspector general of the U.S. Department of Labor, following his nomination by the president and confirmation by the U.S. Senate. As head of the Office of Inspector General, Turner is responsible for overseeing the administration of a nationwide, independent program of audits and investigations involving U.S. Department of Labor programs and operations. Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Morgan State University

Dear Morgan Community, As we close out a successful semester on the high note of hosting our eighth annual Fall Commencement ceremony in-person and on campus, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the current landscape as it relates to the pandemic. Over the past several weeks following the Thanksgiving holiday break, there has been an alarming rise in the number of reported positive COVID-19 cases nationwide as well as COVID-19-related hospitalizations.
