Gianni Morsell, the first graduate of the Social Justice Scholars Program at Penn’s School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2) and a recipient of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s John R. Lewis National Racial Equity Initiative Social Justice Fellowship, now works with policymakers in the U.S. House of Representatives to effect social change.

A middle school music teacher was surprised Wednesday as Baltimore City Public Schools' 2023 teacher of the year. Jared Perry, a music teacher at Booker T. Washington Middle School for the Arts, was presented the award by Baltimore City Public Schools CEO Sonja Santelises.

Twin Engineers Solving Problems in a Profession Traditionally Dominated by Men

Engineering is a field traditionally dominated by men. However, two Maryland sisters say they have always loved solving problems, making the field of engineering a perfect fit. Fraternal twins Eboni Fotang and Alisa Joseph are exuding major girl power as engineers with Northrop Grumman. The pair both graduated from Morgan State University with degrees in industrial engineering and master's degrees from Johns Hopkins University.
