Morgan State University launches a national search for its next Vice President of Information Technology & Chief Information Officer (VPIT/CIO).

Morgan State University is embarking on a nationwide search for its next Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (VPIT/CIO) to spearhead our information technology transformation journey. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological landscape, driving innovation, and enhancing the overall academic and research experience for our students, faculty, and staff. On March 5, 2024, Morgan State University President David Wilson announced the appointment of a 14-member search committee to identify the university's next VPIT/CIO. The following individuals represent a diverse cross-section of faculty and staff and bring a wealth of knowledge to this vital search. Tentative Timeline

April 2024: The search committee convened its first meeting in early April to discuss the timeline and process.

Mid-April - May 2024: Application window for candidates to submit resume/CV for consideration through Academic Search, LLC.

May 2024: The search committee will identify top candidates, at the end of May, to invite for interviews.

June 2024: Interviews begin in June and continue until the finalist candidate is identified.

July 2024: The selected candidate is announced by university President Wilson.
