Outreach

The primary purpose of the Center's outreach programs is to offer services to educate the citizens of Maryland about the risks of gambling and gambling addiction and on what resources are available to them.

The outreach function of the Center focuses on identifying specific marginalized communities that may face higher levels of need in dealing with problem gambling. The Center provides training and work with healthcare and social service providers to develop new training approaches and collaborate with the Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling and the National Council on Problem Gambling through its referral program to help individuals and their families.
