Morgan State University’s “Magnificent Marching Machine” band has been invited to perform at the 137th Rose Parade in 2026, the university said Saturday. The announcement was made during Morgan State’s homecoming football game halftime show.

Alexandria Wingate of Baltimore is an artist and graduate of Morgan State University. She painted three self-portraits of herself to depict various stages of her life and health journey. She has lupus, an end-stage renal disease, and is looking for a living kidney donor.
