Jackey Robinson is a designer and educator exploring how architecture can uplift marginalized communities through interdisciplinary and socially engaged design. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., he focuses on the communal and transformative power of space, drawing from personal experiences and participatory practices.

Currently a Lecturer at Morgan State University, Robinson previously taught at the Rhode Island School of Design. His work spans architecture, apparel, installation, and performative design, often challenging traditional narratives within the field.

Robinson’s thesis centered on the Black and Brown LGBTQIA+ ballroom community, highlighting its performative genius and drawing parallels with architecture’s own structures of performance, critique, and presentation.

He is passionate about design that celebrates joy, identity, and the power of collective expression.
