SCHP to Offer New Graduate Program in Nutrition
Great news for the Morgan State University School of Community Health & Policy (SCHP)! We are thrilled to announce that the Maryland Higher Education Commission approved the new Master of Science (MS) degree in Community Health Nutrition. The program will be housed in the Morgan State University Department of Public and Allied Health in the Nutritional Sciences Program. The program addresses the growing recognition of food as a contributor to chronic illnesses by emphasizing the social and environmental determinants of nutrition challenges. The program will have two tracks: 1) the Dietetic Internship track and the Community Health track. The master's degree is 12 months designed to reach those who are ready to serve people whom society has marginalized. Those who desire to become a registered dietitian can apply for the Dietetic Internship track.
