The Divine Line at Light City Baltimore
Morgan SA+P Faculty Pavlina Ilieva, program director of the Undergraduate Architecture and Environmental Design Program with adjunct faculty Kuo Pao Lian, Kathleen Lechleiter and David Lopez, members of the Re/Public collaborative team invite you to join the second annual Light City festival of light, music and innovation.
The Divided Line is a Virtual Reality (VR) installation that simulates a three-dimensional alternate reality that can be interacted with physically through the help of computers. The Re/Public in collaboration with Elemental Metalworks and Morgan State Volunteer Students and Alumni – Sheldon Alfred, Mary Selsor, Juan Manjarres Perez, Anbar Oreizi- Esfahani and Andrew Ngure, designed the lifelike world. The light projection itself divides into two compartments that visitors can engage with upon entering. The computer-generated environment will transform over the course of the festival, providing visitors with new realities each day they use the installation.
Follow along with @the_re_public; @klarchitect; @kuopaolian; @led.better, @be_the_to and @elementalwork on Instagram for updates and captured moments throughout the festival.
