It's no secret Baltimore is home to a number of health disparities, particularly relating to healthcare access. WJZ took a look to see how big of an issue pharmacy deserts are for the city. Dr. Lorece Edwards, a professor at Morgan State University's School of Community Health and Policy, said health disparities like pharmacy deserts are the result of historical policies like segregation.

Morgan State University has officially launched a new business hub in partnership with the PNC Foundation. The hub aims to provide the Black community with the resources and education needed to start and sustain their own businesses. The center will help students of historically Black colleges and universities make their entrepreneurial dreams a reality.
