SA+P Project recognized by the American Institute of Architects
Students and faculty at Morgan State University's School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P) have recently been recognized by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for a project completed in collaboration with a local design firm. The project was one of 33 "Citizen Design" projects selected for the prestigious Emerging Professionals Exhibit at the AIA national headquarters.
Guided by Assistant Professor Brian Grieb, AIA, students in the B.S. in Architecture and Environmental Design (BSAED) Program collaborated with the award-winning architecture firm Ziger/Snead to provide design services for a new modular building for the Parks & People Foundation in Baltimore. The building, which was initially exhibited at the U.S. Green Building Council's Greenbuild Conference in Washington, DC, is now a part of a Green Workforce Development campus for the organization in Baltimore.
