President’s Leadership Circle Fellows Organize Painting Activity to Benefit Children
Recently, the President's Leadership Circle (PLC) Fellows organized a Sip and Paint event attended by art-loving MSU students. The goal of the event was to create art, that would be then donated to a local childcare center to encourage positive visualization. The Sip and Paint was well attended and the students, who represented all parts of the campus community, appreciated spending their Friday evening sipping on a refreshing drink, nibbling on cheese and being guided by two of their own, in what turned out to be a calming destresser.
Sponsored by the Office of the President, the President's Leadership Circle donated the artwork to the Walter P. Carter Child Care Center in Baltimore City. PLC fellows hung up the art in the center and had a blast with the kids. The fellows plan to continue a relationship with the center and engage the kids in a variety of art and reading activities.
