Morgan State Joined Hurricane Relief Effort

In the aftermath of the devastation caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, members of the Morgan Community, including students, faculty and staff, came together to collect much-needed supplies for those affected. Among the items collected were canned goods, can openers, first aid kits, insect repellent, toiletries, batteries, diapers and bottled water. President David Wilson and Vice President for Student Affairs Kevin Banks joined Morgan students at the University Memorial Chapel to pack the donations into boxes. Approximately 2,000 pounds of items were donated in all, filling 37 boxes that were mailed to partner organizations in San Antonio, Texas, and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
This was a great example of coming together and demonstrating how Morgan Cares!
