Morgan State Eyes Research Expansion Amid Potential for Federal Funding

A new Department of Defense program focused on strengthening the research departments of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) could help aid Morgan State University in its goal to become a top-tier research institution. U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen visited Morgan State on Monday to talk about the new federal program that will allow the Defense Department (DOD) to provide HBCUs with additional funding to aid their research departments.
