Office of Community Services

Welcome to the Office of Community Services at MSU! The Office of Community Services (OCS) is temporarily housed under the Professor and Founding Dean of the School of Social Work, Dr. Anna McPhatter in her role as Special Assistant to the President for Community Partnerships. Dr. Annette Woodroffe is the Director.

The Office of Community Services at Morgan State University was created in November 1993 to design, develop and implement dynamic community service programs to address the educational, social, cultural, and recreational needs of inner-city residents in Baltimore especially, and surrounding areas.

In keeping with 21st century community developments, OCS is gearing up to establish a representative group within the university and the local community to develop a strategic plan on community partnerships for the university, along with completing a capacity assessment of the university to implement these plans effectively. Included will be schools, departments, centers, institutes, student associations and other associations, sororities, fraternities, leagues, clubs, religious, and campus groups.
