RAIN

The Robotics, Autonomy & Intelligent Networks (RAIN), housed within the Center for Equitable Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Systems (CEAMLS) at Morgan State University, is dedicated to advancing research in robotics, embodied AI, automation, and digital transformation. Our mission is to design, develop, and evaluate intelligent physical and cyber-physical systems that can perceive, learn, adapt, and operate effectively in real-world environments.

RAIN focuses on next-generation robotic systems, autonomous agents, digital twin technologies, and automation frameworks that enhance efficiency, resilience, and human-centered decision-making across critical sectors such as transportation, healthcare, manufacturing, smart infrastructure, and public systems. Through interdisciplinary research and innovation, the lab explores how intelligent machines and digital representations of physical systems can work together to solve complex real-world challenges.

As part of CEAMLS and Morgan State University’s broader commitment to impactful, equitable, and forward-looking research, RAIN serves as a hub for collaboration, experimentation, and hands-on learning. The lab equips students and researchers with the technical, analytical, and ethical foundations needed to lead the future of robotics and intelligent systems.
