Kaiya Spence-Hines was born and raised in Baltimore City and graduated from Morgan State University with a Bachelor's degree in Screenwriting and Animation in 2018. Since then, she has used what she learned during her time at Morgan to be a positive force in both her creative and professional pursuits. From December 2020 to May 2023, she worked as a COVID-19 contact Tracer for the Baltimore City Health Department, where she helped the community during difficult and unprecedented times. In her free time, she enjoys participating in film and photography workshops, theatre, spending time with friends and family, and playing video games.
