Biography
Dr. Robin Spaid earned her doctorate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and was an American Council on Education Fellow, 1994-95. She has a robust background in higher education with 30 years of experience working with public and private universities and colleges as well as community colleges. Her experience includes working at several different institutions and teaching in a variety of formats-- traditional, accelerated, internet, etc. Prior to accepting the faculty position at Morgan State University in Fall 2008, she worked for five years as the Director of Mount Olive College at the Triangle in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. This location serves adult students and only offers accelerated cohort degree-completion programs for undergraduates. In addition, Dr. Spaid worked for 25 years with community colleges in a variety of instructional administrative positions. Her presentations and publications topics include marketing, accelerated cohort programs, part-time faculty, leadership, equity issues, and workforce development programs.
