First Year Experience

What is FYE?

The First Year Experience (FYE) at Morgan State University is a comprehensive initiative created to help incoming freshmen successfully transition into university life. Through a combination of academic enrichment, personal development, and community engagement, FYE equips students with the tools, confidence, and connections needed to thrive during their first year.

Students are introduced to essential campus resources, supported by trained Peer Mentors, and guided by faculty and staff who help them navigate academic and social expectations. By fostering engagement, belonging, and growth, FYE ensures every student builds a strong foundation for long-term success at Morgan.
